- Arbor Fitment: Ensure you have the proper stub or standard arbor that matches your machine's spindle taper (e.g., R8, Morse, or straight shank) and the cutter's bore diameter.
- Speeds and Feeds: Because the cutter is very thin, it is crucial to calculate the appropriate feed rate. Too low of a feed causes rubbing and premature dulling; too high of a feed risks chipping the teeth.
- Conventional vs. Climb Milling: Conventional milling (feeding the work against the rotation of the cutter) is typically recommended for safety to prevent the workpiece from pulling the cutter forward into the cut.
