The flow guide plate of the sand making machine, also known as the flow channel plate or the material guiding plate, is one of the important wear-resistant components of the sand making machine. Here is a brief introduction about it:
Structure and Material: The flow guide plate is usually installed in the rotor of the sand making machine. It consists of the flow channel plate body and the hard alloy or ceramic composite layer attached to it. This composite structure can increase the thickness of the flow guide plate, making it less prone to wear and fracture during high-strength operations.
Type: There are three types: forward flow channel plate, radial flow channel plate and backward flow channel plate.
Function: The main function is to divert and guide the high-speed moving materials in the impeller during the operation of the sand-making machine, so that the flow direction of the materials will not be too dispersed. This ensures that the materials can be more evenly scattered onto the inner wall of the crushing chamber or other materials, achieving a better crushing effect.
Quantity: The exact number of flow guide plates depends on the diameter of the matching impeller and the feed particle size of the material to be crushed. It can be calculated using the formula z = πD/k2.k1.d, where D represents the impeller diameter, d represents the feed particle size of the sand-making machine, k1 represents the filling coefficient, and k2 represents the correction coefficient.
Maintenance and Replacement: The flow guide plate will be subject to erosion and impact from the materials during operation, and is a wear-prone component. Regular inspections for wear conditions are necessary. Generally speaking, when crushing hard materials such as river pebbles, the flow guide plate should be replaced when the equipment is overhauled after about 1000 hours of operation, depending on the degree of wear.
